organic cheatsheet

As you browse through your local grocery store, and you see the price tag for an organic item, you pass right to it to a slightly cheaper non-organic version, not really putting too much thought on the differences (beside the price). Well I want to give you some info that might make you second think before grabbing the selected food into your grocery cart.

Here is a little symbol that tells you what percentage is organic when claiming it is. This is important to pay attention to when reading labels.

Now there is differences between conventional and organic food

Conventional VS ORGANIC

Apply chemical fertilizers to promote plant growth. VS Apply natural fertilizers, such as manure or compost, to feed soil and plants.

Spray insecticides to reduce pests and disease. VS Use beneficial insects and birds, mating disruption or traps to reduce pests and disease.

Use herbicides to manage weeds. VS Rotate crops, till, hand weed or mulch to manage weeds.

Give animals antibiotics, growth hormones and medications to prevent disease and spur growth. VS Give animals organic feed and allow them access to the outdoors. Use preventive measures — such as rotational grazing, a balanced diet and clean housing — to help minimize disease.

There are foods that you CAN buy non-organic because there’s not a great chance of many peptides. So I recommend to keep this list with you when you’re at the store to save  little money

Asparagus Avocado Broccoli Cabbage Corn (sweet) Eggplant Kiwi Mango  Onion Papaya Pineapple Peas (sweet) Sweet Potatoes Tomatoes Watermelon

These are foods to ALWAYS buy organic because of high peptide levels.

Apples Bell Peppers Carrots Celery Cherries Grapes (imported)  Kale Lettuce Nectarines Peaches Pears Strawberries

You can buy all the above at your local farmers market. They are fresh and the farmers could specifically tell you where it came from in which you could trust for Safe fruits and vegetables. If you’re not sure where one is located by you, check out this link that will help you search for one. http://www.ams.usda.gov/AMSv1.0/farmersmarkets

Another reason to buy organic is because ORGANIC=MORE NUTRITION=MORE VITAMINS AND MINERALS=MORE FOR YOUR BUCK=ALMOST LIKE TAKING SEVERAL MULTI VITAMIN PILLS WITH NON ORGANIC FOOD BECAUSE OF THE NUTRITIONAL DIFFERENCE

Oh and Guess what? The best reason it could help is it can further your W.E.I.G.H.T L.O.S.S and strengthen your  I.M.M.U.N.E  system at the same time! Your body needs the nutrients and antioxidants and minerals to fuel and feed your Overfed yet Undernourished Body resulting in a healthy PH level, proper and healthy bodily functions,  fighting off infections, efficient digestion, naturally detoxifying, and fights free radicals to help prevent aging.

I hope this cheat sheet gives you a little inside of some differences when going ORGANIC!
